San Jose City (Nueva Ecija, Philippines PH) strategic location gained the title of being a "Gateway to the North" as the city's central business district provides easy access to the province of Nueva Vizcaya and the Cagayan Valley Region (55 kms), to Pangasinan and the Ilocos Regions (38 kms), to the country's Summer Capital Baguio City (116 kms) and likewise to the Dingalan Port (70 kms) in Aurora Province.

The city is situated in the northern part of Nueva Ecija, 47 kilometers away from the seat of the provincial government in Palayan City; 160 kms. north of Manila; 116 kms. south of Baguio City; and approximately 150 kms. west of the Clark Special Economic Zone. It is nestled at the foot of the Caraballo Mountain Range, and it is bounded by the Sierra Madre Mountain in the east, Municipality of Carranglan in the North, Municipalities of Lupao and Talugtog in the West and Science City of Muñoz and Llanera in the South.

Mga Probationer, lumikha ng ‘Pader ng Kalikasan’

Lumabas ang pagkamalikhain ng tatlumpu’t tatlong (33) probationer at parolees nang magpinta sila ng makakalikasang tema at slogan sa isang pader na tinawag nilang ‘Pader ng Kalikasan’.

Bahagi ito ng kanilang programang pangkomunidad, kung saan ang mga probationer ay tinulungan din ng dalawampu’t pitong (27) volunteer probation aides.

Matatagpuan ang nasabing pader sa Bonifacio Street, Barangay Canuto Ramos na sinimulang pintahan noong Biyernes.

Ayon kay ‘Pader ng Kalikasan’ Project Coordinator Viniarose Jessefel Umayam ng CENRO, layunin ng programang ito na mas mapataas ang awareness level o kamulatan patungkol sa kalikasan, ng mga makakabasa at makakakita ng mga nasabing pader.

Suportado ang programa nina Chief Parole & Probation Officer Melinda Esteban, Volunteer Probation Aide President Adonis Cortez, at Probation and Parolee President Merlito Sorza.
